Overview
Athena Balance is a formula of potassium silicate specifically concentrated on buffering irrigation water and stabilising to the ideal pH. Silicon benefits plant growth, stem structure, stress reduction, water usage (osmoregulation), and nutrient utilisation.
Growers find there are better results, particularly with reverse osmosis (RO) water, when they buffer first with Athena Balance. Pure RO water has an unstable chemical structure which can trap other nutrients when added without a buffer; Athena Balance adds just enough to the water to create a more homogenous fertiliser solution and reduces the need to pH adjust after mixing.
Athena Balance formula is sediment-free and is compatible with mechanical dosing systems (Dosatron); it is not recommended for electronic dosing systems (Netafim).
How to use
- Shake well before use.
- Use clean measuring instruments, and do not put anything into the bottle.
- Adjust the pH to proper levels after mixing all additives and fertilisers.
- Do not combine in undiluted form.
- Athena Balance needs to be stored in the original packaging and closed at a temperature between 8°C and 30°C.
